Data transfer


At the end of your experiment, all of your data will up uploaded to an FTP site so that you can access it from your home institution.

You can access the FTP site in the following way:

Open File Explorer (not your internet browser)

Put ftp://exshare.lightsource.ca into the address line.

A Log On As Box should come up

Put clsi.ca/##-#### into the Username box (where ##-#### is your proposal number)

Enter Your Password (if you do not know your password contact beamline staff)

The password is case sensitive.

Now you should get lots of folders, find your proposal number and double-click on it.

None of the other folders will open for you.

 

Important: You should download all of your data ASAP. While we will try to keep your data available to you from the FTP site for as long as possible, we cannot guarantee that it will be available long term.
